DIY Phone Case

When I got my new iPhone, I was unsure about what phone case to get. There are so many different options in stores, online, or at the mall. Between all the different colors and styles, it is hard to decide on one! I chose to make my own so I can switch it up anytime with different stickers or pictures. It is also super simple and easy to make! The only thing you need for this phone case is paper, a printer, some stickers, and a clear phone case. The clear case that worked best for me is: https://www.amazon.com/FlexGear-iPhone-Bumper-Protector-Designed/product-reviews/B076CRQ2K6/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_viewopt_kywd?ie=UTF8&filterByStar=five_star&reviewerType=all_reviews&pageNumber=1&filterByKeyword=Dropped#reviews-filter-bar It is very protective but still not too big and chunky. Plus, it comes with a screen protector and it is not very expensive.

The first step to making this DIY phone case is picking a color scheme. Your stickers could be all one color, seasonal, holiday themed, or you could make them specific to what you like to do. Also make sure to pick a sticker color that compliments the color of your actual phone (silver, gold, etc.) I decided on all my stickers being yellow.

*Note: When you pick your stickers, make sure you pick an even amount of half pictures/symbols and half words/quotes. You also don’t want any long quotes or phrases that will take a while to read.

I got my stickers from Redbubble. I printed bright and fun online images, and I drew some myself. The sizes of your pictures should vary from about 1/2 an inch to 2 inches. I was able to fit about 10-12 small pictures/stickers on my phone case, including some small flourishes (like the zig zag line) that I drew myself to fill the space.

Once the pictures are printed and cut out, I aligned all of the stickers and pictures on the back of my phone. I then used tiny donuts of scotch tape to tape the pictures to the back of my phone. The tape doesn’t need to be too big because it is just barely holding the pictures in place. You also don’t want too much tape because it should be easy to peel the stickers off the phone. Next, put your clear case on over. Enjoy!

*Because this case isn’t a lot of money, it would make a perfect gift for a friend! You could make them a personal, cute, DIY case and give it as a present for their birthday or a holiday. Let me know what you think!
