Every fourth of July, we host a Fourth of July Fizz stand. Wearing festive outfits and setting up a stand at the entrance of the beach, we sell red white and blue layered drinks. This year we decided to also sell some fire cracker popcorn! This contains only 5 ingredients, and can be made in less than ten minutes! The best part are the hidden pop rocks in the popcorn. It is a perfect surprise and the best thing to add a little more "pop" to your popcorn 😉. I also made some diy snack cones to hold the popcorn. These were made by printing some red white and blue patterns (gingham print, stripes, stars, etc.) on white paper. I then cut each page in half and rolled it into a cone, securing it with a piece of clear tape. These were the cutest festive additions to the popcorn! Happy Fourth- I hope you enjoy!
Note:
Adjust the number of servings to how much you need by making one cup of popped popcorn for each person.
Ingredients:
Popcorn
vanilla baking chips. (you could also use white chocolate chips)
Red and blue food coloring gel
Assorted pop rocks (we used cherry and blue raspberry pop rocks... but you can't see them in the popcorn so really any color would work)
Mini marshmallows
Recipe:
Separate the popcorn into two different bowls, one that will be for blue and the other for red.
Separate the vanilla/white chocolate chips into two separate bowls as well, and melt in microwave. Squirt a couple drops of food dye into each bowl, and stir with a spatula until it is combined. If the mixture is rough, stir in some water until it is 100% smooth.
Drizzle the red mixture onto one bowl of popcorn, and the blue onto the other.
Add in even amounts of pop rocks and marshmallows to each bowl, and toss until everything is tinted with color.
Let cool and harden in the fridge for 10 minutes before mixing the two bowls together.
Scoop into cones and enjoy your Fourth of July!

Fill cup to the top with ice.
Pour red cranberry juice to 1/4 of the cup.
Pour blue gatorade slowly over the ice on top, filling it up to 3/4 a cup.
