These doughnuts are absolutely deliciouThe sweetness of the chocolate pairs perfectly with the delicate lavender glaze. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Makes 6 mouth-watering doughnuts
INGREDIENTS
{ for the chocolate doughnuts}
3 1/2 ounces of sugar
4 1/4 ounces of buttermilk
2 Tbsp. melted butter
4 1/2 ounces of bread flour
1 egg
1 3/4 ounces of cocoa powder
2 1/2 ounces chocolate chips
a pinch of salt ( not too much)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS

1. Grease a six hole doughnut pan then preheat the oven to 350˚F
2. Whisk together the buttermilk, vanilla, sugar, melted butter, and egg in a medium size bowl. In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
3. Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and stir + combine good. Now fold in the chocolate chips. It will probably be very thick, and that’s completely normal.
4. Scoop small spoonfuls of dough into the doughnut molds (I used my fingers to gently spread out the dough so it fills up a little more than 3/4 up each mold).
5. Bake for 7-8 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool on a wire rack.

7 ounces confectioner’s sugar
100 ml Milk
1 Tbsp. dried lavender
~ optional~ a drop of purple food coloring
INSTRUCTIONS

In a pan heat the milk almost until boiling. Remove from the heat and add the dried lavender. Let it sit and infuse for about 8 minutes.
2. Strain the milk to remove the lavender and slowly, one spoon at at time, whisk in the confectioner’s sugar. Then add in the food coloring and and stir well.
3. Dunk the top half of each doughnut in the glaze and let it set slightly.
